IDIL Internships: Sustainable Rice Cultivation Research 🌾
Our M2 student in “Plant and Microbiological Sciences for the Agro-environment,” Marielle Arnous, recently completed her internship in Cambodia, where she worked on using beneficial bacteria as alternatives to pesticides (biocontrol). She is now on a sampling mission in the Yuanyang terraces (Yunnan, China) 🌍
This year, her research focuses on how the genetic diversity of rice and plant–plant interactions shape the microbiome, helping crops naturally resist disease and highlighting sustainable alternatives to pesticides, insights that could contribute to more sustainable farming practices 🧬
Congratulations to Marielle on her fieldwork and for representing IDIL in China!
