Registration to the University of Montpellier

You must follow the same registration procedure as French students.

You must apply on the monmaster.gouv.fr website; the IDIL program is compatible with the ERASMUS+ program

If your country is not listed above, you must follow the same procedure as international students from the European Union.

2 - Get your admission certificate (PDF) from the correspondant platform.

3 – Contact your home department to complete your registration at the University of Montpellier

4 – Pay the CVEC (Student and Campus Contribution; annual amount for 2024–2025: €103)

Registration fee

The tuition fees for master’s programs at the University of Montpellier for international students are €250 for the 2025–2026 academic year .

This amount may change for the 2026–2027 academic year, depending on whether the Commission on Education and University Life (CFVU) renews the vote on partial tuition waivers for international students.

Initial contact with SAIE

SAIEC is the organization dedicated to welcoming and supporting international students at the University of Montpellier. It offers a support service exclusively for international students to help them find housing: PHARE

It also offers other services, such as

  • A personalized virtual assistant, the welcome desk, to help students with their administrative formalities. You'll receive a personalized roadmap listing the steps you need to take, with associated deadlines. Complete your procedures concerning:

-Your Residence Permit

-Opening a bank account.

-CAF and CPAM

-Housing

  • Schedule an appointment directly with a SAIEC support specialist (also available by phone and video conference)
  • A Mentorship service with a French student.
