TU Medicine: A Successful Lab Visit

The Non-Core Teaching Unit (TU) “Innovations in Clinical Biomarkers: Biotechnologies for Personalized Medicine” aims to provide our IDIL students with multidisciplinary training in innovative biotechnologies in a clinical context, enabling them to gain knowledge about patient-support technologies in the medical field, such as concepts related to bioprinting and cutting-edge procedures in cancer care. This course also aims to foster critical thinking by illustrating the reality behind medical diagnostic statistics…

An Informative Tour of the IRMB Laboratory

As part of this course, Professor Christophe Hirtz invited us on a guided tour of the Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Biotherapy (IRMB CHU). He began by highlighting the safety measures in place at the medical facilities where researchers conduct experiments, before taking us on a tour of the various rooms where we were able to see the latest cutting-edge medical technologies with our own eyes.

In the photos below, you can see the machines that he and his research team use to study various proteins in stem cells.

What is a non-core course?

This is an introductory course in a new field, designed to help our students develop multidisciplinary knowledge that fosters critical thinking and the scientific method.
