Launch of Interdisciplinary DAY
A major first for the IDIL " Graduate " program
On Saturday, February 24, thefirst edition of its official day dedicated to interdisciplinarity took place: Interdisciplinary Day!
We were honored to have the President of the University of Montpellier, Mr. Philippe Augé, in attendance for the event’s opening ceremony. The event was designed to bring together a large portion of the IDIL community for a single day in order to strengthen interdisciplinary ties among our students.
The event program consisted of three main parts:
- A TedX-style presentation of the two complementary dissertations by our IDIL doctoral students and their dissertation co-advisors
- A Presentation of the 5 Multidisciplinary Projects by Our M2 Students
- Two interdisciplinary discussions among our students as part of the IDIL House Cup, under the supervision of international researchers from the Mak’it Institute (list the researchers). The two discussion topics? “AI and Its Impact on Various Disciplines” | “Is the IPCC an Effective Model of Interdisciplinarity?”
And, of course, in the middle of this busy day, there was a fun buffet with wooden games that brought the participants together for a friendly get-together!
We would like to sincerely thank the students for their significant contributions to the event, our project leaders Agnès-Fichard Carroll and Mathieu Sicard, and the logistics teams who made this event possible.
