Launch of Interdisciplinary DAY
A major first for the IDIL " Graduate " program
On Saturday, February 24, thefirst edition of its official day dedicated to interdisciplinarity took place: Interdisciplinary Day!
We were honored to have the President of the University of Montpellier, Mr. Philippe Augé, in attendance for the event’s opening. The purpose of the event was to bring together a large portion of the IDIL community for a single day in order to strengthen the interdisciplinary ties among our students.
The event program was divided into three main parts:
- A TedX-style presentation of the two complementary dissertations by our IDIL doctoral students and their dissertation co-advisors
- A Presentation of the 5 Multidisciplinary Projects by Our Master's 2 Students
- Two interdisciplinary discussions among our students as part of the IDIL House Cup, under the supervision of international researchers from the Mak’it Institute (list the researchers). The two discussion topics? “AI and its impacts on various academic disciplines” | “The IPCC as an effective model of interdisciplinarity?”
And of course, in the middle of this busy day, there was a fun buffet with wooden games that brought the participants together for a friendly get-together!
We would like to sincerely thank the students for their significant contributions to the event, our project leaders Agnès-Fichard Carroll and Mathieu Sicard, as well as the logistics teams who made this event possible.
