End of the 2025–2026 session of the IDIL Summer School

🌐 Multidisciplinary Lectures
Throughout the summer school, eight evening lectures gave our students the opportunity to broaden their horizons beyond their primary field of study.

🎤 Opening remarks by President Prof. Philippe Augé:
We were pleased to welcome the President of the University of Montpellier, Prof. Augé, as well as the program coordinators, Prof. Agnès Fichard-Carroll and Prof. Mathieu Sicard, to mark the start of the new academic year.

🤝 Mentor-Mentee Meeting:
One of the highlights was the informal outdoor gathering between mentors and mentees, which allowed students to build relationships with their #researchers #mentors early on and discover the wide range of research topics at the University of Montpellier.

🎉 IDIL Student Gala
To wrap up the week, students enjoyed a festive and friendly gathering at the gala held at the Orangerie in Montpellier’s Jardin des Plantes. We wish everyone a wonderful 2025–2026 academic year!

📊 Key Figures:
The IDIL graduate program continues to grow. For the 2025–2026 academic year, we are seeing a 30% increase in enrollment, the official launch of two new master’s programs, and the milestone of 50% of our students coming from four different continents.

The two new Master's programs for 2025–2026 🔎:

  • Digital and Movement Sciences for Health (DigiMove), UFR STAPS Montpellier: An interdisciplinary program focusing on experimental research, human movement sciences, and data analysis.
  • Quantitative Biology: Molecular Mechanisms of Life (QBio), Faculty of Sciences – University of Montpellier: Advanced courses in molecular biology, cutting-edge experimental techniques, and quantitative life sciences.
