IDIL Partner Labs | Exploring Micro- and Nanofabrication at IES
The IDIL team and its students recently visitedthe Institute of Electronics and Systems (IES). Guided by Julien Guise and Stéphane Blin, they got a behind-the-scenes look at research in electronic technology.
The tour began with a visit to the cleanroom and the “yellow light” laboratory, where extremely precise protocols enable the creation of tomorrow’s components through micro- and nano-fabrication. From semiconductor test benches to the anechoic chamber dedicated to antennas, the students were able to appreciate the importance of state-of-the-art infrastructure in the field of photonics.
The visit also provided an opportunity to reconnect with Sogol, a former student in the program who is now a research engineer at IES. Her career path serves as a concrete example of the career opportunities available at our partner laboratories and helps current students envision their own future careers.
A big thank you to the IES teams for their warm welcome and for sharing their expertise on this fascinating research topic!
