qBio Master's Program: A Back-to-School Boot Camp to Welcome New Students

To kick off the new semester for the Quantitative Biology (qBio) master’s program within the IDIL graduate program, second-year master’s students organized a special welcome event for the newcomers: an educational escape game designed to review scientific fundamentals while breaking the ice!

Brush up on your knowledge through games 🧬💻

There’s nothing quite like a series of puzzles to solve as a team to get back into the academic swing of things. Differential equations on the board, optics challenges, programming logic in Python, and a refresher on cell biology: the M2 class designed a series of varied challenges to help the M1 students refresh their methodological and theoretical knowledge before classes begin.

Building a bond from the very first days 🤝

Beyond the academic aspect, this boot camp was primarily designed to foster group cohesion. Divided into small teams, the new students were able to collaborate from their very first hours on campus, interact informally with their upperclassmen, and discover the program’s spirit of mutual support. The event then continued with a friendly welcome reception to celebrate the start of the academic year.
