PhD 2026 PhD Recruitment Campaign: 12 PhD positions available

The IDIL graduate program at the University of Montpellier has officially launched its recruitment campaign for doctoral students for the 2026 academic year. Twelve doctoral positions are available, distributed across six so-called “mirror” doctoral projects.

What is a “mirror” doctoral project?

A mirrored doctoral project allowstwo distinct disciplinary theses to be integratedinto a single multidisciplinary project.

The aim is to approach a single research project from the perspective of two different disciplines in order to promote interdisciplinarity. The methods and references specific to each of the disciplines involved must therefore be drawn upon.

The 6 projects selected for 2026

Each project listed below offers two thesis topics:

  • 🌱 Project No. 1 | WEEDSCAPE : Weed dynamics in agricultural landscapes: spatio-temporal patterns and mechanisms based on pollination.
    • Fields: Life and Environmental Sciences | Information, Structures, and Systems
  • 🪱🦠 Project No. 2 | METABONEP : Metabolomic and functional analysis of bacteria associated with entomopathogenic nematodes.
