Non-Core Medicine Teaching Unit: A Successful First Lab Visit

The Non-Core Teaching Unit (TU) onInnovations in Clinical Biomarker Biotechnologies for Personalized Medicine aimsto provide our IDIL students with multidisciplinary training in innovative biotechnologies within a clinical context, enabling them to gain knowledge about patient-support technologies in the medical field—such as the basics of biomarkers and state-of-the-art procedures for cancer. This course also aims to foster critical thinking by illustrating the reality of medical diagnosis statistics…

An insightful visit to the IRMB Lab

As part of this course, Professor Christophe Hirtz invited us on a guided tour ofthe Institute for Regenerative Medicine & Biotherapy(IRMB CHU). He began by highlighting the safety measures in place at medical facilities where researchers conduct experiments, and then led us on a tour of the various rooms where we were able to see cutting-edge medical technologies firsthand.

In the pictures below, you can see the equipment he and his research team use to study different proteins in stem cells.

What is a Non-Core Teaching Unit?
